Complete this leadership certification with three, two day sessions spanned out within two months between 8:00am-5:00pm.
Each in-person session is lead by Dr. Bill Hassey and several hand-selected members of the Paul College faculty with a proven track record working in the business community.
This course is designed to provide maximum absorption, application, and renewal of the concepts covered.
All classes are held at the University of New Hampshire, in the Peter. T. Paul College of Business and Economics, with the exception of outside-the-classroom assignments. Participation in all six days is required for certification.
Learn by doing. We believe at the end of the day, challenging assignments are one of the few ways to actually become a better leader. This program offers multiple opportunities for participants to work hands-on with unique challenges, instruction, individual assessment, peer coaching, practice and two hours of one-on-one coaching. All of the course material will be applied to a real, palpable project where the risks and rewards are high.
Managing Yourself and Leading Others
Session 1 | April 4 & 5
Gain a unique understanding of your strengths, weaknesses and management potential from the perspective of your boss, your peers, and your direct reports. It is divided into three subsections:
Assess: A rigorous, 360-degree evaluation process to gauge how you see the world and make decisions. Leadership and conflict-management assessments will provide further insights into your leadership style.
Challenge: Learn about situational leadership. Utilize your assessment information with first-hand practice and application.
Explore: Watch the development of your own emotional intelligence. You'll learn proven techniques in communication, influence, emotional intelligence, coaching, delegation, and much more.
Leading High Performing Teams
Session 2 | April 18 & 19
Discover the themes of team dynamics and emotional intelligence through interactive sessions. Develop your problem-solving, perspective diversity, out-of-the-box thinking, and risk taking through the application of fearless conflict management models that work.
You will engage with memorable tactics that will seamlessly transfer back to your on-the-job teams.
You'll also meet with your one-on-one Executive Development Programs coach.
Leading Your Organization
Session 3 | May 2 & 3
Solidify your leadership in session three. You will transform your knowledge on how to build relationships, act strategically, enact change, and negotiate for success. Tools and models formulated in this session will help you lead from any rung on the corporate ladder. You’ll walk away with your Individual Development Plan in hand and our program will follow up with you to ensure your success. Participate in your second one-on-one coaching session to discuss implementation of your Strategic Application Project as the course concludes.
